Audrey...

...and Brandon & Bonne of course =)   I work with Bonnie's mom, Rhonna (who, let me just add, is one of the most giving, generous people I have ever met!  Love you Rhonna!).  I remember when Rhonna told me Bonnie was expecting.  I've never seen a more excited Grandma...or in this case, NahNah.  Brandan and Bonnie, it was so nice to have you guys over!  Audrey is the sweetest little thing.  I don't know if it was her norm to be so serious or not, but she's a thinker!!

Jonny & Ashley...

Jonny & Ashley will be getting married in May of 2010.  Ashley has such great style... I can't wait to see how she designs their wedding!    Lucky me, I'll be shooting the photos...hope I can do it justice!

Shot their engagement photos the other day...check em out...

By the way...if you need someone to fix either your hair or your guitar...these are the folks you need to see!

Homecoming...

I didn't go to my homecoming dance so I had so much fun snapping some pictures of these kids!  After DJ's graduation session, Cindy asked if I'd stick around and grab some snap shots before they all left.  They were all so handsome, so beautiful and SO full of excitement.  Like, OMG!

Oh and by the way...texting seems to be the preferred method of communication.  I didn't have a cell phone in high school.  My dad had a big ol' phone in his truck but it wasn't something you could carry around in your pocket.  You had to have a backpack just to haul it around...Crazy how times change...

DJ...graduation...

A couple weeks ago I went to The Woodlands to shoot DJ's senior pictures.  I work with his mom, Cindy...at my day job (I still have one of those).  Anyways...Cindy and Mr. Wright drove us around and we jumped out here and there...by a little lake (did it qualify as a lake?), the front of an oil company...HEB...wherever there was a spot.

Karen 33 weeks...

So it looks like all I've done is take pictures of my sister...not true.  I've got some graduation, homecoming and babies to post I just haven't finished editing.  I'm just so stink'n proud of my little sister!!!  I'll tell you what though, I can't wait to hold my little nephew!

Randa, Devon & Gage...

Randa has been one of my dearest (most crazy) friends for such a long time!  When I think back to some of the hardest times of my life she was there, always making me laugh...helping...encouraging.  We can go weeks or months without talking on the phone but call or email and it's like I just talked to her yesterday.  Her and Shane are expecting their 3rd child in December.  I'm sure he will be just as beautiful and great as the other two, Devon and Gage!

Henderson family...

So...I knew going into this one that we were either going to be laughing or crying...as you can see it was laughing...and crying cause we were laughing so hard!  I love these folks so much...I married into the best family in the world!

But there was this ONE serious good shot...

This little character is "Handy".  I've known Handy for a long time...she shows herself when Kennedy wants to say something but doesn't want to be the one to say it (and it's usually something totally silly).

Lisa & Andra...

Look everyone...it's Jessica Alba and Lisa - the girl with the most beautiful hair in the world.   Lisa and Andra are sisters that are due just weeks apart from each other.  I think this is so cool.  I can't tell you how many times my sister and I have talked about how cool it would be for us to be pregnant together!  I'm so happy for these two and maybe a little jealous...

Tyler and Kaylee

Photography Session:

  • Outdoors in field of tall wheat-like foilage (great backdrop)...0$
  • Perfect lighting, bouncing off everything creating a warm glow...0$
  • Ants crawling up your subjects legs...priceless!

Got to shoot Tyler and Kaylee this weekend.  It was hot outside, yes...muggy too,  but I thought we could be quick and get some good pictures before they were totally frazzled.  Well, it wasn't the heat that did them in, it was the ants and once they were stung it was OVER!  SO...we ended up going inside to my dining room, threw up a couple black sheets and came up with these.  Not really what I had in mind but in a way I'm kind of glad Kaylee stepped on that ant hill =)  Even got Robyn in a couple of them!

So did I learn a lesson this weekend?  Nah...

Did Tyler and Kaylee learn a lesson?  Prolly so!

Karen - 24 weeks and 4 days...

My mom's prayers have finally been answered (And let all the people say PTL!)...she is going to have a grandchild!!  A grandSON to be exact.  My sister is due the first week in December and we are all so excited!  I drove up to San Antonio for a quick trip this weekend to see her...and we snapped a few pictures =)

Steve & Gina...

Ryan and I got a chance to hang out with Steve and Gina last Sunday.  A little Greek food...pictures...a movie.  Gina is about to have her 1st baby...a girl, in about 2 weeks.  They are going to make great parents...good people! Love them!

Eric & Michelle...

Michelle you finally got Eric to agree to pictures! Maybe in 10 more years we'll do some more!

One of my first impressions of my brother-n-law Eric was him joking around about some woman with a goiter on her neck...I couldn't believe he was making fun of some poor ol woman with a goiter.  I had no idea I'd be married to this guys brother less than a year later!  My family here has come to mean SO much to me.  I love them all very much and am beyond blessed to be part of their family!

Nice hat Eric...might that be Michelle's?

Brody, Finley & Rowdy...

The Stopher rollercoaster slowed down long enough for me to hop on and take some pictures of the kiddo's last weekend.  This is one of the busiest families I'm come across in a long time.  I've known Mollie for a year now.  She works a full time job (not to mention her commute into the city everyday), takes care of her three kids (four if you include her husband Dylan), keeps up her house, teaches in what seems like 20 classes at her church, sells pampered chef (party anyone?), dinner with friends during the week, coffee with this-group-and-that and still has time for the occasional scrapbooking!!!  Good lord woman...I'm tired just writing about it! Anyways...here's some of my favorites from the session...

Brendan's first...

I forgot to mention that when we flew to Detroit a couple weeks ago, it was Brendan's first plane ride!  I was just a baby the first time I got on a plane so it's hard for me to imagine what it must feel like to experience it for the first time. What it must feel like as you ascend to the sky...while the earth is pulling your stomach back down to earth. I mean, I know what it feels like but for the first time?  Brendan couldn't wipe the smile off his face.  It was excitement mixed with astonishment and maybe just a little fear.  He did great though...he's a great traveler!
