Katie & Kyle

Our last night in Michigan the family got together at my mom's. I snapped these pictures of Katie and Kyle (my cousins) playing in the backyard. As you can see, Kyle is very serious about being batman!!

I posted more pictures on my Facebook page...

More Vacation...

Here's some more pictures of our trip to Detroit.  What a nice city...despite the reputation it has!

Karen snacking in the elevator... I love her eyes!

My two guys...my step-son Brendan and my husband Ryan...

Brendan couldn't wait to dive into the bed at the hotel!

Vacation...

This past weekend I went to my cousin Becky's wedding in Detroit. It was so nice and the reception was the most beautiful I'd ever been to! I snapped a couple pictures while I was there...Below is a few of my snapshots from the rehearsal and the wedding...

Walking to the church...my mom and sister Karen.

Rehearsing at the church...

This little guy is Patrick's nephew. Obviously his name is Charlie! Him and his sister had lots of fun at the rehearsal. The dinner was at a park in the middle of downtown ...perfect weather!!!

Patrick's sister, one of Becky's bridesmaids and Charlie's mom was 8 months pregnant!!!

Here I go with the shoes again. These are my sister Karen's...

Becky...the bride

The reception was at the Gem Theatre in downtown Detroit...

My uncle Otis...father of the bride...

The band...

Olivia & Gabby

This was my first time to work with babies and wouldn't ya know...twins! It was too hot and too bright to go outside so we had to do most inside. My lighting was horrible and at the time I didn't have an external flash so I had to tweak them a little afterwards which is why most are in black and white. I was pleasantly surprised with the end results though. It's always nice to be pleasantly surprised!  I don't know how Marco and Dorothy do it.  These little beauties are a hand full! The next picture says it all...

Jessica...

Talk about a good sport...Jessica was ready for whatever came her way. We were up and at it at 6:30am and I must say the lighting is really nice that early! She climbed stairs, laid in grass, sat in a little dog house and was attached by a giant roach! But we got some really cool pictures...some of my favorites!

Justin, Lisa & Micah...

Justin, Lisa & Micah met me up at the park the other day. It was one of the hottest days of the year, at that point, but everyone was good sports...(Even when I asked them all to sit in the dirt)! Sweet family with another one on the way...it's a girl!  Yay!!!  Micah even helped me pose his parents for a couple shots! Future photographer?

I'm not sure why but I just LOVE pictures of people's shoes.   Here is one of Lisa and Justin...I love it!

Time Out...

Ryan and I had some folks over few weekends ago. I happened to have my camera out just as Sierra was put in time out by her dad...

It seems that anytime I'm together with family or friends I've got my camera out.  I need the practice and what better people to practice on.  SO, my niece Kaylee was at the right place at the right time (or as she would probably say, the wrong place at the wrong time) and let good ol' Autie Lisa practice on her! I wonder how many more pictures everyone is good for until they tell me to take a hike!

Bailey, Kennedy & Sierra

Bailey was home the other day so we did some pictures with him and his sisters, Kennedy and Sierra. We started out in the field across the street from my house but the kids soon tired of the bugs and what might have been poison ivy (turns out it's not) so we went back to my yard. A long day made for some grumpy kids so their mom was instructed to get lost and me and my adorable nieces and nephew had a little "come-to-jesus" right there in the back yard. Aunt Lisa can be persuasive when she wants to be!  See...they can be good for pictures!

Brownie Troop 8382

Got to shoot Brownie troop 8382 the other day! Cute bunch of girls...each one with their own individual personality. At one point they were looking a little tired so I asked if any of them had a boyfriend...they freaked out! "Gross", "No Way!!!" But, got them going again to get through the rest of the pictures.  I wonder if they will have the same response in a few years.

Brendan was my "assistant" today and I use that term VERY lightly! I thought it would be a good chance for him to earn some extra cash but when it came time to actually need him he was inside a wooden box covered up with two reflecters because..."it's hot out here"! Right. I caught a cute picture of him below before he went into hiding!
